Volunteer

Do you have a love for music? You can be a vital part of the Aurora Symphony Orchestra as a volunteer at our concerts and events.
No musical experience necessary – just a passion for sharing the arts with our community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Join the Board of Directors

The Aurora Symphony Board of Directors is open to all individuals wishing to make a difference in our community.  Each member is asked to serve a two (2) year term on the board.  The ASO board meets monthly to guide the organization and ensure the continuity of the program, it’s musical leadership and financial stewardship.

Box Office Support

The Aurora Symphony processes our own ticketing through various online resources and vendors.  Additionally, support is needed at each concert, to sell tickets for walk-in patrons, and distribute “Will Call” tickets sold in advance.

Patron Greeter

Making our patrons and guests feel welcome is very important to us! As a patron greeter, you are the first point of contact for visiting guests, and fulfill a vital role, helping to ensure their visit is comfortable and rewarding.  Patron Greeters may help in a variety of ways by guiding guests to ticket sales, distributing concert programs / literature or pointing out venue locations such as restrooms and refreshments, etc.

Back Stage Assistant

A back stage assistant helps with the non-performance logistics of staging a concert.  This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys physical activity!  Activities may include: Moving large instruments, chairs, music stands, assisting with load-in / load-out before and after the performance, and many other activities.

Promotional Team

Want something that fits into your schedule that you can do from home, or in your own neighborhood?  Be a part of our Promotional Team!  Getting the word out about the ASO is a year-round project, and can easily fit into any schedule.  Activities range from: posting upcoming events to online community calendars, distributing flyers to libraries, coffee shops and community bulletin boards, helping staff a booth at community event, or just helping get the word out to everyone you know, and inviting as many people as possible!

Do you have a special skill such as website design, graphic design, or marketing talent?  Let us know!  We are always looking for new ways to spread to word about the ASO!

For more information about any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact Brad Furlow at (720) 748-1132 or by email at marketing@aurorasymphony.org
