Escape to magical worlds in a concert celebrating long-lost memories of home.

Join your Aurora Symphony at the opening concert of our season with “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” a symphonic celebration of the homes we fondly remember.

Hear “Somewhere over the Rainbow” like you never have before in a beautiful arrangement with the full 60-piece Aurora Symphony.

Experience one of the most popular symphonies ever written: “From the New World,” by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák (pronounced duh-vor-zhaak), a homesick musical letter written during his travels to America.

And enjoy a special performance featuring guest oboe soloist Pablo Dos Santos Hernandez of Brazilian composer Brenno Blauth’s Concertino for Oboe and String Orchestra. Hernandez wrote his doctoral dissertation on Brenno Blauth and his music, and both hail from Porto Alegre in Brazil.

Join us Saturday or Sunday (or both!), October 12 and 13 for “Somewhere Over the Rainbow: A Symphonic Celebration of Home.”

I absolutely loved the performance, location, ease of parking, and genuinely kind audience members I had the pleasure to sit next to. Thank you! Thank you! I will be back!!!

“After the concert I felt relaxed and happy. Every performance we have attended as season ticket holders has been excellent.”

“Beautiful music that brings serenity.  A conductor who is informative and engaging.  Pleasing setting. Two hours and twenty dollars so well spent.”
