The Aurora Symphony is now planning auditions for the upcoming 2012-2013 concert season. Auditions for the upcoming season will be held at the Aurora Central Library, 2nd Floor Studio (14949 E. Alameda Parkway) on the following dates/times:
Wednesday, August 22, 7:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday, August 25, 12:00pm-2:00pm
Participants must perform two contrasting solo-type pieces, contrast in style or tempo. Scales may be required at the discretion of the Music Director. Total performance time is 5 to 7 minutes. All instruments welcome!

Auditions are also held throughout the season on Wednesday evenings during regular rehearsals. Even if you’re not sure you’re up to it yet, come by a rehearsal and get a feel for our group. You’re welcome to sit in your respective section during a rehearsal (with conductor approval) so you can really see what playing with the ASO would be like.
