The Aurora Symphony welcomes mid-season auditions for the 2011-2012 concert season. Auditions will be held throughout the season during rehearsals (Wednesday evenings).

Participants must perform two contrasting solo-type pieces, contrast in style or tempo. Scales may be required at the discretion of the Music Director. Total performance time is 5 to 7 minutes. All instruments welcome!

Current Season Open Positions:

• All Strings
• 2nd Bassoon
• Percussion
• Timpani
• Substitutes for all winds/brass

Even if you’re not sure you’re up to it yet, come by a rehearsal and get a feel for our group. You’re welcome to sit in your respective section during a rehearsal (with conductor approval) so you can really see what playing with the ASO would be like.
