Come hear your favorite music, from classical to pop to opera, in this weekly series featuring a different ASO chamber ensemble each week through August. Grab a blanket and a bite at one of Southlands many restaurant choices for an evening of free entertainment with our Saturday evening Southlands Series held in Town Square from 6:00pm – 7:30pm!

Masterworks Concert Series

Fall Masterworks Concert – Sweet and Low

Jurgen DeLemos, former Principal Cellist of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will perform the exciting Saint Saens Cello Concerto. And the ASO’s own Darren DeLaup will perform the Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto with the orchestra, for a pair of solo instruments you will not want to miss!

Holiday Masterworks Concert – A John Denver Christmas

The ASO and John Denver tribute artist John Adams collaborate on a truly inspirational holiday celebration for the entire family.

Children’s Concert – Mother Goose and Grimm

The ASO performs music with a tale to tell: Maurice Ravel’s vivid “Mother Goose Suite” and music from Englebert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. These scores will come to life in another memorable (and free!) Children’s Concert, with another wonderful collaboration with the Shoestring Childrens Theatre Company.

Spring Masterworks Concert – Carmina Burana

In one of its most ambitious undertakings, the ASO collaborates with the Colorado Chorale and several area choirs bring to Aurora and surrounding communities one of the most exciting pieces of choral music ever written.

Arts for a Better Tomorrow – American Originals II

Howard Hanson’s sumptuous “Nordic” Symphony #1 completes the season, along with the winner of the ASO’s 9th annual Youth Concerto Competition. A season finale that will be memorable long after the season is over!
